Where are the Colts?

I was watching the Jaguars vs Colts game today, and I couldn't believe what I saw. For three weeks already, we have seen Peyton Manning struggle to get on track. It seems like his inconsistently is coming with the rust of not playing in the preseason. We take the preseason for granted, but it looks like, at least for Peyton, it's very important to get into the groove of playing football again.

Jacksonville, on the other hand, is the product of a great coach! I know this is their first win, but it all comes from Jack Del Rio. Take a look at their quarterback, David Gerrard. What a joke! It seems like he can't even throw the ball more than ten yards down the field. While their running back combo of Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor dominated the game, they were still forced to go to the air when Indianapolis scored the go ahead touchdown with about a minute left in the game. I think Del Rio Called the right plays for Gerrard's arm. I will give credit to Gerrard in the fact that he is very consistent, but he needs to learn to throw the long ball without hesitation.

Overall, this was a great game with dramatics and disappointment in the end. The drama came with Jacksonville's winning drive, and the disappointment came, once again, with the play of Peyton Manning!

Frerotte vs Jackson

I don't know about anybody else, but I am totally happy and in favor of Childress's decision to bench Tavaris Jackson in favor of Gus Frerotte for Sunday's game. How can things get any worse?

Adrian Peterson averaged 131.5 yaards in the first two games, and the Vikings still lost! What's wrong with the team? It has to be one of two things: the quarterback or the coach. I suppose Childress didn't want to blame himself, so a quarterback change seemed the obvious choice. Frerotte suited up last year for the St. Louis Rams and even saw a little playing time as a backup. He didn't play too well, but his numbers were similar to Jackson's. Seriously, what harm could it do to start him?
