I don't know about anybody else, but I am totally happy and in favor of Childress's decision to bench Tavaris Jackson in favor of Gus Frerotte for Sunday's game. How can things get any worse?
Adrian Peterson averaged 131.5 yaards in the first two games, and the Vikings still lost! What's wrong with the team? It has to be one of two things: the quarterback or the coach. I suppose Childress didn't want to blame himself, so a quarterback change seemed the obvious choice. Frerotte suited up last year for the St. Louis Rams and even saw a little playing time as a backup. He didn't play too well, but his numbers were similar to Jackson's. Seriously, what harm could it do to start him?
